LAYING A SOLID FOUNDATION FOR GRASSROOTS DEVELOPMENT: J.K TAKES THE BULL BY THE HORN IN IREPODUN SOUTH LOCAL COUNCIL DEVELOPMENT AREA

The pioneer Executive Secretary of Irepodun South Local Council Development Area -  Ogbeni Kamoli Adekunle Oloyede popularly called J.K did not put anybody in doubt that he meant business when he was sworn in by his mentor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola on 5th May, 2017 to coordinate political administration of the newly created Irepodun South Local Council Development Area, Awesin, Erin Osun.

As a true son of the soil with full dedication to serve his people wholeheartedly and sincerely, Ogbeni Adekunle Oloyede understood that power is transient and it is whatever you do today that will be ascribed to you later in the future. He quickly settled down in office, articulated his programmes, prioritized it according to their necessities and pursued them diligently one by one. When Ogbeni Kamoli Adekunle Oloyede finished his short tenure on Monday 5th February, 2018 (exactly nine months), he has succeeded in putting his name in gold in Irepodun South Local Council Development Area as someone who came, saw and conquered through the following projects;

1) Successful building and commissioning of Phase One of Secretariat Complex of the new LCDA to ease administrative work in the new council

2) Inauguration, appointment of Board chairmen and members (6 Board Committees which comprises 26 members in total)

3) Renovation of Oke La Health Centre to bring health services closer to the people

4) Purchase and Distribution of health facilities and drugs to all the health centres in Erin Osun

5) Collaboration with NYSC on free medical test and treatment for Erin Osun residents and its adjoining communities

6) Repair of major boreholes and water system in Erin Osun to make water accessible to all

7) Improve in welfare package for Community Development Council (CDC) member on their monthly meeting to enhance their performance

8) Payment of arrears of casual workers allowances

9) Clearing of refuse in dumping areas to maintain friendly environment

10) Continuous grading of nooks and crannies of community streets

11) Distribution of food items during Eid Kabeer and Eidl Fitri festival period to make the festival memorable in the LCDA

12) Distribution of Insecticide Nets to prevent spread of malaria in the community

13) Donations to Moje Day 2017 to promote culture and tourism

14) Distribution of free Save Delivery Kit to pregnant women in the community in line with Sustainable Development Goals

15) Organization of Inter tribal meeting between Hausa/Fulani's Herdsmen and Yoruba farmers for peaceful coexistence

16) Renovation of Isiaka Maternity Health Center, in Erin Osun

17) Renovation of Oke Awesin police Station to protect lives and properties effectively and many more.

We say safely conclude that Ogbeni Kamoli Adekunle Oloyede led executive did not betrayed the confidence reposed in him by given him this assignment in the first instance. We say well done to a true Omoluabi for serving his people meritoriously. Posterity and prosperity will never eludes you.
