OSUN IS FARMERS/HERDSMEN VIOLENCE FREE COURTESY OF AREGBESOLA'S PROACTIVENESS by Progressives e Group

Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola' foresight in leadership and efficient management of people and resources was recently recognized and pronounced through the publication of a research conducted by John's Hopknas University, Maryland, United States (USA) on Nigeria Social Violence Database (NSVD) in relation to death from herdsmen and farmers conflict (2016). The report as shown in the data below depicts Osun as one of the few states with no death casualties at all in the country during the year under review.

It would be recalled that Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola as a pragmatic governor in 2014 sensed this and immediately set up a special committee on peaceful coexistence among all ethnic nationalities in the state called "Committee on Peaceful Coexistence between Fulani/Bororo and Crop farmers in the State of Osun under the Chairmanship of Hon. Mudasiru Toogun since June, 2014. Despite the fact that news of herdsmen and farmers is trending in many parts of the country since last year, Osun is exceptionally distinct and crisis free both in business relationship and peaceful cohabitation.

This is leadership by example,
This is the way to go to build long lasting community peaceful relation among in a society. God bless state of Osun and God bless Federal Republic of Nigeria.

A former youth leader in the main opposition party, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Irewole local Government area of Osun state, Hon Kamarudeen Agbara and hundreds of his followers on Saturday defected to the rulling party All Progressives Congress (APC) in ward 6 Iyana egba Ikire in Irewole local government area.
