COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL MEMBERS ECSTATIC AS HON ADEBOYE ATTENDS MEETING

The chairman Irewole North East LCDA, Honourable Adeboye Opeyemi despite his busy schedule finds time to attend Community Development Council (CDC) monthly meeting held at the parliamentarian building Wasinmi much to the delight of the members who welcome him with victory songs.

Addressing the members, the chairman welcomes the new Head of Social Department in person of Mrs Adebayo Yemisi to the fold while he appreciates her efforts in the CDC since her resumption and admonish her to do more especially in securing grants cum facilitation of projects to surpass her predecessor who saw to the execution of many timely projects in communities within the LCDA.

However, the chairman berates the members for their nonchalant attitude in keeping tab on the foreigners and non indigenes within their various communities as it undermines the security efforts of the government following the revelation made after some culprits were arrested in the recent incessant armed robbery and kidnapping attacks that confronts Ikire township and Wasinmi. He therefore encouraged them to be vigilant and work cooperatively with the security agencies while he informed them of his government plan to have Security/Education summit with the aim to iron out ways and possible solutions to tackle the dwindling education level cum security challenges in Irewole North East LCDA Wasinmi.

Meanwhile, the chairman uses the occasion to reiterate his supports to the CDC, assuring them his administration is ready to provide counterpart fund for any projects facilitated via  CDC. He charged them to be proactive and be up and doing to their responsibilities as they government representatives in their respective communities while he also appreciate their support and prayers during the litigation period as God's will conquered.

While reacting, the head of social department, Mrs Adebayo Yemisi appreciates the chairman for living true to his words by attending the meeting and moreover to the CDC course, promised to surpass the achievements of her predecessor....

A former youth leader in the main opposition party, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Irewole local Government area of Osun state, Hon Kamarudeen Agbara and hundreds of his followers on Saturday defected to the rulling party All Progressives Congress (APC) in ward 6 Iyana egba Ikire in Irewole local government area.
