In one of his new year messages released through his Deputy, Benedict Alabi while worshiping at the Saint Benedict Catholic Church, Popo area, Oshogbo, the Governor, State of Osun, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola stated that the current administration in the state was very much interested in the welfare of the people.
"We've been moving here and their to make life meaningful and efficient for our people. Very soon you will be proud of the state of Osun," he said.
He urged the people of Osun to support and cooperate with the current administration, and watch out for dividends of democracy in this 2019 and beyond.
Ogbeni Oyetola rejoiced with the people of Osun by praising God with melodious songs.
In attendance with the Deputy Governor at the service were the Onijabe of Ijabe, Oba Felix Oyelade, Engr. Shola Oladepo, Mr. Gbolanhan Ayegbayo, Mr. Yinka Omiyale, Mr. Adelani Baderinwa, former commissioner for information and strategy, State of Osun, among others.
While delivering the new year sermon, the Bishop of Saint Benedict Catholic Church, Bishop John Akinkunmi Oyejola stated that it was the holiness of Marry that led to the birth of Jesus Christ. He encourage the people to emulate the act of the holiness of Marry and continue to follow the preaching of Jesus Christ.
He also state that, for everyone to be more prosperous in faith, there was need to develop trust in God and the leaders. According to him, "we need to develop trust by trusting Almighty God and our leaders. It is our duty to be faithful to our leaders in several dimensions for complete productivity."
Arch Bishop Akin Oyejola, also urged the Christian faithfuls to be committed to the ordinance of God and frequently go through the scripture for better motivation in their lives. He encouraged the people to be conscious and ensure a free and fair election as the general election was approaching.
