ADEBOYE LAUDS FALLEN HERO ON THE OCCASION OF ARMED FORCES REMEMBRANCE DAY
Armed Forces Remembrance Day is a special day set aside for sober reflections on the significance of the Armed Force to Nigeria.
This was what informed the gathering of the retired soldiers,government functionaries and elites of the society at palace square Oja Ale Ikire on the 15th of January to honour the fallen heroes.
The occasion witness the presence of His Royal Highness Oba Olatunde Falabi, Prince Adeboye Opeyemi Chairman Irewole North East LCDA, Prince Layiwola Falabi a retired Colonel and Religious leaders. Heads of security agencies were not left out.
While welcoming dignitaries to the occasion, Corps commander and Chairman Nigerian legion in Irewole local government and Irewole North East LCDA Commander Adedokun Adegbite gives glory to God for making the day a reality. Commander Adedokun Adegbite appreciates those present for honouring the Nigerian gallant soldiers and also remind them the need for them not to neglect the widows, children and family relations of the fallen heroes because of the various sacrifices they have made while defending Nigeria autonomy which resulted to various degree of injuries and deaths to some of them. He concluded by appreciating the support of the local government to the legion's welfare and also pledge their support to the administration.
In his remarks, Chairman Irewole North East LCDA Honourable Adeboye Opeyemi lauds the efforts and sacrifices of the Nigerian soldiers while defending the nation sovereignty. The chairman said without the commitments of the Nigerian soldiers, there will not be a country called Nigeria.
He assured them of government availability under the tutelage of Governor Gboyega Oyetola to their needs while promising government at local level would not be found wanting taking care of their welfare.
The program was concluded with the laying of wreath by Hon Adeboye Opeyemi and other dignitaries in remembrance of the fallen heroes.
