People of Ikire express gratitude for what God has done for them through APC Govt.*

The people of Ikire in Irewole local government area of the state of Osun have expressed gratitude for a rear opportunity they have been given in the All progressives Congress led administration in the state particularly in the present regime of Governor Gboyega Oyetola led Government.

This according to them has never happened in the political history of the ancient town to occupy the second highest position of authority in the administration of the state with the emergence of one of them, a son of the soil Mr Benedict Olugboyega Alabi as the state Deputy Governor.

The National president of Ikire Progressive Union (IPU) Professor Peter Olaitan expressed the gratitude on Wednesday when he led the executive members of the union on a congratulatory visit to the state  deputy Governor Mr Benedict Alabi in his office in Osogbo the state capital.

Professor Olaitan used the opportunity of the visit on the behalf of the people of Ikire to pass a vote of confidence in the APC led administration in the state under the leadership of Governor Gboyega Oyetola.

He said the opportunity of occupying the second highest position for the ancient town has continued to pay off with positive impact already been felt not only by the people of Ikire but all over the state.

He commended the present administration of Governor Gboyega Oyetola through the efforts of the Deputy Governor for the restoration of  electricity and water supply in the ancient town which has put an end to the epileptic power supply and unavailability of water to which the people of Ikire  were subjected  over the years.

Professor Olaitan also expressed appreciation for the ongoing Ikire/Apomu/Ikoyi roads rehabilitation to ease movement in fulfilment of electioneering campaign promises made to the people by Governor Gboyega Oyetola.

"We're so grateful to God for what he has done for us in Ikire through the APC Government in Osun .

We have never had it so good for Ikire to produce a Deputy Governor in the state.

What we have seen so far, with what you have done for us with electricity supply, water and road, we will continue to be grateful", professor Olaitan said.

He therefore assured of the continued support and loyalty of the people of Ikire to the APC led administration of Governor Gboyega Oyetola in Osun and prayed for the success of the administration.
