The city of Ibadan, Oyo state capital was agog today as the city played host to  State Governors, Deputy Governors, Political leaders, Traditional rulers across the South west Nigeria who thronged the city to identify with the Governor of Oyo State Senator Isiak Abiola  Ajimobi on the occasion of his 69th Birthday Anniversary which was celebrated in a grand style.

 Present at the  colourful ceremony were the Osun State Governor Mr Gboyega Oyetola represented by his deputy Mr Benedict Olugboyega Alabi, Ondo state Governor Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, and his Ekiti state Counterpart Dr John Kayode Fayemi, a former Governor of Oyo State Dr Omololu Olunloyo and the Oyo state Deputy Governor Otunba  Moses Adeyemo Alake, the APC Governorship candidate in Oyo State Chief Adebayo Adelabu and representatives of all other Governors
They all gathered at the International Conference Center, University of Ibadan for a Thank you Birthday Celebration and Official launching of Abiola Ajimobi Foundation for Advanced Democracy (AFAD), a program put together by the Central Council of Ibadan Indigines (CCII) to mark the 69th Birthday ceremony of Governor Abiola Ajimobi.

The event could  best be described as a thank you ceremony for the unprecedented achievements and a compendium of the giant strides of Governor Abiola Ajimobi in the last Seven and a half year of his leadership in Oyo state.
Among several traditional rulers in Yoruba land that were received by the Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Saliu Adetunji to the event included the Ewi of Ado Ekiti,Deji of Akure,representative of Alaafin of Oyo and several others.
