Omo Ewu Carnival; Deputy Governor orders Proper Planing for Tourism Advantage.
The State of Osun Deputy Governor - Mr. Gboyega Alabi has urged the organizers of annual carnival in Ikire to give the town a befitting carnival this year in order to boost economic activities and increase tourism advantage of the town.
Mr. Benedict Gboyega Alabi stated this in his country home when Leader of Irewole North East Local Council Development Area - Hon. Owoade Ademola paid him a courtesy visit and raised this fundamental question about the poor way which the annual carnival was been organized. The state Deputy Governor said with the status of Ikire as an ancient town with a standard local government and local council development area shouldn't have any excuse of organizing a befitting carnival that everyone will be happy to associate with and support accordingly. Mr. Gboyega Alabi personally pledged to support if properly organised.
Mr. Alabi appreciated and gave kudos to the youths of the town who have being doing the carnival in their own way in the past and ordered Hon. Owoade to use his position to look for a way to see better organization for the forthcoming festival in order to be a memorable event.
