The State of Osun Deputy Governor Mr Benedict Olugboyega Alabi has said the people's votes for The ruling All Progressives Congress APC candidates for 2019 general elections from Presidential to the National and State houses of Assembly elections come February 19 and March 3, 2019 would guarantee stability of good governance in the country and the state in particular.
This, according to Osun Deputy Governor would not only pave way for more development but also for the continuity of the people oriented policies and programmes that would further give people a new lease on life.
Mr Alabi while speaking in Ijebu-jesa, Ibodi and later in modakeke at different events expressed the commitment of Governor Gboyega Oyetola's administration to leverage and further improve the living condition of the people particularly the rural dwellers through the regular support of government and execution of projects that would have direct impact in their lives.
The first port of call was Ijebu-jesa in Oriade local government where the deputy governor joined the family of high chief Olabisi Olatunji Owoborode in the solemnization of holy matrimony between his daughter Olatunji Olajumoke Margaret and Asekuntile Olawale Emmanuel held at St.Mathew cathedral church of Anglican communion Ijebu-jesa.
The Deputy Governor who was accompanied by APC candidates for Obokun and Oriade federal constituency Pharmacist Olusiji Olamiju popularly known as AKOL and Hon Desmond Babatunde Ojo for Oriade state constituency as well as the Chairman Oriade local government Hon Olubunmi Obaesun called on people of Oriade and Obokun to give thier votes for all the APC candidates in the forthcoming elections.
Mr Gboyega Alabi who later spoke in Ibodi in Atakumosa west local government area at a 3 in 1 programme of one year coronation anniversary of Oloja of Ibodi-Ijesa Oba Cornelius Omisade Agboluaje with a fund raising for ultra modern palace and conferment of chieftaincy titles on some eminent personalities thanked the people of Ibodi for their votes during the last governorship election.
He assured them that the government of Mr Gboyega Oyetola is ever ready to support the rural communities in turning their lofty dreams and ideas to reality.
He said the ongoing multi-billion naira Ilesa water project which will serve the entire people of Ijesa-land when completed and the 2019 appropriation bill tagged a budget of hope presented to the state of Osun house of assembly on Thursday by Governor Gboyega Oyetola were pointers to the unrelenting commitment of Governor Oyetola's administration to better the lots of people and take the state to the next level.
The Osun deputy governor who later stormed modakeke for the 33rd annual Akoraye day celebration in company of APC leaders and party faithful which included the APC Candidate for Osun East senatorial district Hon Ajibola Famurewa also thanked the people of Modakeke for their support at the September 22 governorship poll
Mr Alabi who was given warmth reception to the carnival-like event by the people of Modakeke also thanked them for the show of love and unity among them.
He rolled out some of the laudable projects that are in the pipeline by Governor Gboyega Oyetola's government for the people of modakeke and the state at large to include rehabilitation of Famia road, water dam projects and upgrading of community health centers in all the 332 wards across the state.
He however appealed to the people to play their own part in supporting government with regular payment of their taxes as their civil responsibilities in order to jointly take the state to the next level.
Speaking on the forthcoming 2019 General elections and the need for the people to give their votes to President Muhammadu Buhari and all the APC candidates in the state, Mr Alabi warned the people against selling their votes for money and inducement of money bag politicians.
