Oyetola assures rural communities of quality development that will foster wealth creation in the state of Osun
Governor of Osun, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola has assured all the rural dwellers of quality development that will in turn foster cumulative wealth creation for the betterment of all. Oyetola stated this during a policy presentation by a non governmental arganisation - Center for Rural Development (CRD)led by Prof. Oba Adekunle Adeogun Okunoye Oyedeji (II), the Eburu of Ibaland.
Governor Gboyega Oyetola affirmed his readiness to rural development and intensify his effort on promoting mechanised farming in the state. The governor who was represented by his deputy, Mr. Benedict Alabi said government of the state of Osun is ready to support any individuals or organization that is ready to support the plans put in place to develop our rural areas. The government charged investors and individual to come and invest in the state of Osun as the state is on high gear to promote enabling environment for investors.
In his key note address, the founder and chairman of the center, Oba Adekunle Okunoye registered his readiness to take development of Osun rural areas as a responsibility which everyone of us must be involved. Kabiesi said the organization is planning a conference which slated to come up on Tuesday, 18/12/2018 at Iba, Ifelodun local government of Osun. The forum is expecting experts and researchers in rural development, especially in area of education, health, security and agriculture.
The monarch said according to statistics, 60% of Osun population are basically rural and this conference is looking inward to come out with workable result for the development of our communities .
While responding, Mr Oyetola commended the initiative and initiators for keying into this noble plan of the government to refertilised the agricultural sector and to promote mechanised farming in the state to generate wealth and also pledged government readiness to support this initiative.
The government also reminded the team about economics summit which will come up before the end of first quarter of this administration. He enjoy the organization to feature in the summit in order to compare notes and share ideas together.
In his shot address, Prof Oguntola Alamu praised government on its readiness and commitment to support rural development as presented by the organization. He said there are a lot to generate from rural areas if their development is looked inward to.
Also, Prof. Adeyeye said the state can generate wealth through infrastructural development of rural areas. Therefore, he urged government to use these tools and the ideas generated through the conference to develop rural areas. He buttress his point by saying a lot can be achieved if government support this initiative led by the monarch.
The conference also have in attendance great and respected notable educationists as well as professors like; Prof. Bolu Oyelakin, Prof. Jelili Oguntola Alamu, former Vice Chancellor Osun State University, Prof. Adeyeye, Prof Olabode Popoola, Prof. Yakubu Chefe and Mr Temitayo Sanusi among others.
